Consular Authentication Process
A. Procedures are as follows:
  a. Submission of documents issued in Sweden (but not by a Swedish government authority) such as Affidavit, Declaration, Power of Attorney, etc. to be notarized first by a local Notary Public and then to be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
  b. Submission of documents issued by a Swedish government authority (e.g. Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Confirmation of No Crimina Record,  Personbevis, Certificate of Registration ) to be authenticated directly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden, details are as below:

  c. Submission of documents authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden to be authenticated by the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Stockholm.
  B. Notice:
  a. A document can only contain one single issue. A document that contains more than one issues or includes unrelated content should not be accepted for consular authentication.  
b. Documents issued in China, such as Passport, Registration of Company will not be accepted for authentication.
  c. Applications will not be accepted if the contents of the documents are against Chinese laws.
  d. The Chinese Embassy authenticates only the official signature and seal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden and will not be responsible for the contents of the documents.
  e. Documents authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden and the Chinese Embassy should be in their original shape. Applicants should not dismantle original documents (notarized or authenticated) or stitch some other pages to the original documents, and should bear all responsibility for any such action aroused.
f. Documents containing more than one page must be properly bound together and should be cross-page sealed.
  C. Documents to be submitted for individual
  a. One duly completed application form.
  b. The original and copy of the document already authenticated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
  c. The original and copy of the applicant’s passport (information page).
  d. If the application is submitted by an agent, the original and copy of the agent's passport are also required. Significant authentication also need submit a signed power of attorney.
  e. Other documents consular officials require.
    D. Documents to be submitted for company/organization
    a.One duly completed application form.
    b. The original and copy of the document already authenticated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.
    c. Certificate of Registration, The original and copy of the applicant’s (legal person) passport (information page). If the legal person authorizes an agent to submit application, the original and copy of the agent's passport,copy of the legal person’s passport (information page) and a signed power of attorney are also required.
    d. Other documents consular officials require.
